Ms. Liz has been a Pittsburg resident and a PUSD employee since 2004. She is originally from Mexico City and came to the United States when she was in middle school. The culture shock, academic struggles, and mental health challenges she experienced as a middle-school newcomer played a significant role in defining her life's passion. In the evenings, she is an ESL Instructor and also volunteers her time mentoring and supporting newcomers and offering Higher Education guidance to first-generation students. Liz is excited about beginning this new journey and feels honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve and be part of our phenomenal, caring, and dedicated Rancho Medanos Jr. High staff.
