COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Coming to Pittsburg High School May 25th - May 29th
Pittsburg Unified School District is teaming up with Contra Costa Health Services, Kaiser Permanente and the Contra Costa County Office of Education to make sure everyone can get a safe, effective COVID-19 vaccine.
The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for anyone who is 12 years of age or older, and to help our families find a convenient vaccination opportunity, Pittsburg High School is hosting a no-cost clinic on Tuesday, May 25th thru Saturday, May 29th.
Everyone is welcome, including students who are 12 years of age or older, family members, and members of the community. Appointments are also available through the county’s scheduling page or by calling 1-833-829-2626.
The vaccine (Pfizer) requires two doses to provide full protection, so new patients at our clinic will receive follow-up appointments. People younger than 18 need permission from a parent – send in the consent form for your child or come in person, especially if you need a vaccine too!
Information and scheduling will also be available for required school immunization booster vaccines, such as Tdap.
Getting vaccinated is the most effective way of protecting ourselves, our families and other students from getting COVID-19. As we prepare for next fall, let’s all do our part to keep Pittsburg Unified School District healthy and safe.
More information about coronavirus and vaccine is available at cchealth.org/coronavirus and, for Kaiser Permanente members, at kp.org.
